Medina Hospital is now a Cleveland Clinic Hospital
Rob Stall President, Medina Hospital
A: To better serve the community, we are preparing a strategic plan that will determine our direction for the future. We're looking at the needs of the community to help us formulate that plan. We've already received input on community needs relating to new services and physicians. The strategic plan will serve as a roadmap into the future.
A: We will continue to accept the same insurance plans we have accepted in the past. However, as a Cleveland Clinic regional hospital we will have access to Cleveland Clinic health care plans. Patients will benefit from our ability to expand the insurance plans accepted at Medina Hospital.
A: Medina Hospital is a great hospital. It is important we maintain our identity and sense of community. The goal is to maintain the unique Medina Hospital history and identity, while building on the opportunities provided through our affiliation with the Cleveland Clinic. The affiliation allows us to update and upgrade services, through the leverage of the Cleveland Clinic and put us at the top in our community.
A: The Emergency Department expansion is part of our strategic planning. We are looking at the previous plans and the needs of the community to help us plan for the present and future emergent needs of the community.
A: Medina Hospital will continue to be led by the local Board of Directors. The Board has been expanded to include representation from Cleveland Clinic but local Medina community members still constitute the majority of the membership.
